So the month long ceremony has ended.
The Germans snatched the prestigious title away from the Argentineans in the
extra time and were crowned champions of the world. Everybody knows that.
Now I am going to tell you guys why
watching the world cup was a smart choice. This one is dedicated to my Asian
readers so it might not be relevant to people on the other parts of the world.
But what the heck read it anyways.
Buying Jerseys and feeling like a team
People want to be a part of a
group or an association and support their teams. That is a biological character.
So the average Joe walks into a jersey shop and buys a jersey to support his
team and ends up spending slightly more than the original price because of its
increased demand. And proudly walks wearing his new jersey. Very smart J
Why would anybody waste their
money in buying jerseys? I accept it has something to do with the emotions of
supporting your team to the fullest. But what if your team loses? You can NOT
reuse their jersey. (If you do it, you are shameless.) And also you are buying
the jerseys at a high cost. And on top of that, your country is not even
playing in the world cup. This makes no sense to me. And even if the team you were
supporting won the cup, so what? That is not your country. You feeling good over
somebody else’s country victory is invalid.
Sleep Deprivation for enjoyment
I don’t even need to talk about
this. Staying up late night and sacrificing your health for watching somebody
else’s country win over somebody else’s country. Very smart J
Betting for that extra cash
This world cup has brought substantial
rise in the trend of betting over either one of the playing teams against a
friend or acquaintance. So what people do is they stay up late nights, put
their money on the line and expect their team to win. Very smart J
The losing party gets cut twice
firstly because their team lost and secondly because they lost their money.
Terrible. The winning side also loses, not immediately but eventually. Let me
explain. Let’s suppose you are the winning party. You are delighted you made
some money. You feel invincible and automatically you are going to bet the next
time because last time you won. And before you will know you will start losing
money.
Buying drinks, enjoying and making Breweries Richer
The amount of alcoholic products
that get sold in events like this is huge. These breweries make a lot of profit.
The average person who buys alcoholic products to make their world cup special is
losing his money and he does not even realize it.
Have you thought about how the
world cup had been going on for over a month? That means you buy more drinks
than you would on other occasions. And there is always somebody else with you.
That means even more drinks.
When it all ends, what do you get?
A hole in your pocket watching somebody else’s country win and a bad liver from
all the drinking. Very smart J
